Sophie’s Story

At the age of 36, I all of a sudden found myself in complete body chaos: I sat in a sauna and moved down to a lower bench when out of nowhere my lower back locked up and I felt unbearable nerve pain down my left leg. It did not ease over the next days and my situation became worse and worse. I could not sit, walk, sleep, use the bathroom, put on my own trousers. I found myself exhausted. On top of it all I was 9 weeks pregnant. There was nothing else to do then to go to the hospital where a severe L5-S1 hernia was diagnosed. The time at the hospital, because of my pregnancy, was a hell. Orthopedists were arguing with gynecologists about what could and could not be done for me. They agreed on epidural and “soft” pain killers, not causing damage to the fetus. After 2 weeks on these, gynecologists and pain experts, came in and told they could not guarantee the baby would be ok. They thought I should consider abortion.  I thought I was dying! First they told medication was ok for the fetus, 2 weeks later after given me all of this, they come in and tell I should consider abortion. My physical state had NOT improved, my heart BROKE, my soul turned INSIDE OUT; UPSIDE DOWN. But we took the decision to have this baby taken away from us. My body was broken, the baby was maybe not going to be ok, and I was still breastfeeding my 1,5 year old. It all was too overwhelming. Emotional and physically empty, full of sorrow, guilt and so much tears, we went home the day after the abortion. My hands full of heavy medication that could start help me get better physically.  I took the medication 2 days and decided I’d rather feel the pain over the strange side effects of those chemicals. Yes, the pain was gone from the moment I took them, but I had to face dizziness, stomach sickness. I got very angry and went to see BSR practitioners from the moment I could sit more than 2 hours in a row. I live in Sweden, and I went to Holland. The BSR treatments were eye opening. Just so unbelievable helpful. First of all, I was given a good explanation on how the body builds in tension which can lead to herniated discs. And the treatment itself felt like exactly the thing my back needed and wanted. I received several releases, which was a roller-coaster of both things improving and sometimes getting worse. But I felt things happening in my body as never before, and I felt improvement. After 5 months I was fully healed. Not only the hernia had healed, I found myself with freed from headaches, sleeping arms in the nights, lockups in my Lower back. I did not feel menstruation pain, or abdominal cramping. It was and still is just too good to be true. But very true! I am now a BSR practitioner myself, and see great results with my own clients, coming to me with similar and other kinds of problems. The only thing that remains tough, is the loss of my baby… What if I had had access to BSR… I would be having the most wonderful child in my arms, instead of a traumatic scar in my soul. My recommendation is to get yourself, family, friends AND children/teenagers to have BSR! It is truly only enormously beneficial in many ways.

Relief From Incontinence!

“I wanted to document my story of healing through BSR, to thank you, to show others who have given up hope that nothing is hopeless and to stand as a living testimony that BSR truly does heal what appears to be hopeless. That being free from pain and discomfort is better than learning to live with it. You, and what you do, are amazing.

Thank you for freeing me from ten years’ of uncontrollable incontinence, which started around 2007 and grew progressively worse as the years went by. I thought I was doomed to run around for the rest of my days wearing clothing that covered the fact that I was wearing incontinence pads.

The medical profession gave up on me long ago. A Gynaecologist I consulted once told me my incontinence was incurable, the signals between the bladder and brain were messed up, there was no surgery that could help me and he prescribed chronic medication. It did not help and made me feel dehydrated and slightly ill. Visits to various GP’s had me doing kegel exercises which didn’t help at all.

I then tried every single natural formula drop, drug and pill on the market, I spent a fortune at pharmacies and health stores, drinking herbal teas and tinctures but I still had no control over my bladder at all. I grabbed at every new idea that was presented to me to no avail.

Eventually I gave up hope of ever being cured and in 2015 I stopped taking all the mixtures and changed my wardrobe to concealing clothing.

In November 2017 one of my sisters injured her arm and shoulder by lifting something heavy. She was in extreme pain for months, and on recommendation went for BSR and was healed quite quickly, in a matter of weeks she was mobile again. She told me a lot of other health issues she had previously experienced had also disappeared after her BSR treatments, and those words jumped out at me and held my attention. I wondered if I could be cured of my incontinence too.

Shortly after this I began to experience pain in my lower left pelvis. It became so bad that I was afraid I was going to die, then I was afraid I wasn’t going to die, the pain was so bad. It prevented me from working in my garden, which is my mission, hobby, passion, love. To add to that my lower back started feeling stiff and sore and I was miserable.

Then one morning in March 2018 I woke up, decided I was not prepared to live like this anymore, googled BSR Milnerton and found you. My first session was a pleasant surprise, painless, receiving therapy fully clothed like never before, and I was entirely comfortable with your honesty when you told me you’d have no hesitation referring me to a doctor if necessary.

It’s ten years and ten months later, my incontinence is cured except in my memory, but that’s fading. Gradually and with therapy over the last ten months the uncontrollable accidents lessened, then became controllable and then non existant as I learned to work with and not against the healing process.

I became aware of my posture, what my body was telling me through the pain, the warning signs to slack off and slow down, to respect the healing time after treatments. My pelvic pain disappeared shortly after you did therapy on me in March last year and has never recurred, thankfully, and my lower backache only reappears slightly when I overdo things in the garden. And the truth is, BSR does heal other issues along the way, there are little miracles happening all the time
.
So… thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You know that in desperation you once turned to BSR for healing and received it. Thank you for having the belief and courage to learn this technique, you sacrificed everything because you know that it works, thank you for having compassion for others, for helping them, for helping me to help myself.

In the future, God willing, I hope to see BSR as a necessary support and not a threat to any medical profession, because both humans and animals can benefit from it.

Love and best wishes
Brig”

Matric Stress

As BSR practitioners, we especially enjoy witnessing how this gentle, non-invasive technique can truly enhance a student’s sense of well-being and positively affect their performance during crucial exam times, and especially during their final matric year.

This testimonial below encompasses it all:

“Highschool was a difficult time for me; between the stresses of shifting friendships and the concerns of a financially struggling home life, I also had to cope with copious amounts of school work. I didn’t do myself any particular favours by choosing Core Maths and Physical Sciences, both of which I struggled through even up until my final papers for the subjects, but I did need them in order to apply for my university course of choice, without needing a bridging course.

At the beginning of 2018 I was introduced to Body Stress Release.  The sessions were extremely helpful since I tend to store stress in my body quite readily, as well as the added effects of a head trauma injury some years prior, due to a sporting accident.

After my third session of BSR with my practitioner was concluded, a sponsor generously offered to bless me with BSR once a month until the end of my Matric year. I gratefully accepted.

The results of regular BSR sessions astounded me. I was prone to stomach problems as a result of nerves and anxiety, as well as regular acid reflux, panic attacks and aches in my jaw, shoulders and hands. I also struggled to fall asleep and often experienced restless legs while trying to sleep. All of the above challenges either ceased completely or greatly decreased in number of occurrences as my BSR sessions progressed over my stressful months of Matric.

I managed to achieve well above the minimum requirements for the university course that I will be attending after my gap year in 2019, and I owe a large part of this to the wonderful help, healing, and relaxation that BSR was able to give to me.

I would definitely and readily recommend BSR to anyone who has a stressful lifestyle or health issues, but especially to Matric students who need some way to help them cope more easily with the unbelievable stress that Grade 12 brings.”

A Story of Hope

A 72yr old lady first came for BSR in January with a long list of complaints: limited mobility in her shoulder, a constant dull ache in her lower back, a very painful knee (after a knee replacement 6 months prior), severe cramp in her calves, and a painful calf muscle. She was also extremely stressed taking care of her incapacitated husband. She experienced a dull headache after her first release but reported improved mobility in her shoulder and less back ache. The cramp in her calves was more severe but her calf muscle pain had improved. After her 2nd release, everything had further improved, including her sore knee. The cramp and muscle pain in her calf had completely subsided. When she came a month later she was happy to report she was sleeping very well; her only complaints were a very sore knee and a little cramp. When she returned a week later, she said her knee felt much better and the cramp was gone. She comes for BSR once a month and her last report to me via whatsapp was that she was finally pain free in her knee. Body Stress Release is not a quick fix, but rather an effective, lasting healing process.
